Who can win

To receive a purse you must be at least 18 years old, hold a Swathe account with a verified phone number (guest play earns Buttons and Pearls but never Points), and have accepted these rules once in the app before the round's results are final. You must also be in good standing under the Terms of Service. Purses are void where prohibited or restricted by law.

Automated players that fill some live rounds never receive a purse and do not count toward a round's entry minimum.

How to enter

Build a look for the round's prompt in the app and lock it in before entries close. Entering is free. The round card shows its purse, and the number of entries it needs, before you enter.

You can add another look to some rounds with Pearls. Pearls can be earned in play without buying anything, an extra look is judged exactly like the first, and a member can receive at most one purse payment per round, for their best-placed look. Nothing bought changes a score, a vote or a rank.

How looks are judged

Other members rate looks from 1 to 5 stars on how well each one answers the prompt. Looks are shown without names, handles, follower counts or prices, and every entry is rendered with the same lighting, pose and framing.

A look's score is a weighted average that starts at 3.0 and moves as votes arrive, so a handful of votes cannot outrank a well-judged look. A look needs at least 20 valid votes to receive a rank. Looks are ranked within their round only; there is no ranking of people. Looks with equal scores share a rank.

Judging closes at the time shown on the round. The round's rules, including its purse and vote minimum, are fixed when it opens and do not change mid-round.

The purse

A standard weekly purse pays 500 Points for first place, 300 for second and 200 for third. Sponsored or featured rounds may carry a different purse, which is shown on the round before entries open and paid exactly as shown.

A purse pays only if the round finishes with at least 30 standing entries from real members (or the minimum stated on the round). Below that, other in-game rewards still pay and the purse does not. When looks tie, each tied member receives the amount for that rank.

Receiving Points

Points are reward value: 100 Points equal $1. Purse Points are added as pending when results are final and become available to spend 72 hours later. Available Points can be redeemed for gift cards in the app's Rewards screen, delivered by email. Points cannot be transferred or sold.

Winners are responsible for any taxes on what they receive.

Fair play

The Sponsor may withhold or reverse a purse, and remove entries or votes, where it finds fraud, vote manipulation, multiple or shared accounts, automation, content that breaks the community rules, or any other attempt to gain an unfair advantage. Decisions on eligibility and fair play are made in good faith and are final.

General terms

These rules sit alongside the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy; where they conflict about a purse, these rules apply. The Sponsor may cancel or change a future purse, but not one already open for entries. If a round cannot be judged fairly because of a technical fault, the Sponsor may void its purse.

Updated rules are published on this page with a new version number, and the app asks you to accept a new version before it applies to you.
