Scope

Swathe is operated by Krypter LLC (“Krypter,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy covers the Swathe mobile app, waitlist, invite links, and this website (together, the “Service”). It applies when you create an account, join the waitlist, post or rate a look, contact us, or otherwise use Swathe.

Information we collect

We collect information in three ways: information you provide, activity created as you use Swathe, and limited technical information needed to keep the Service working and fair.

  • Account information. Your phone number for verification, secure sign-in, and essential account messages.
  • Profile information. Details you choose to add, such as a username, display name, city, and style-quiz responses.
  • Content. Outfit photos, titles, tags, ratings, reports, and messages you choose to submit. A photo may include a visible face if the final image you choose to publish is not fully blurred.
  • Waitlist and game activity. Referral relationships, invite-code usage, reward tasks, points, rank, challenge participation, and ratings.
  • Technical and security data. Logs, a pseudonymous installation identifier, and hashed IP or device signals used to operate the Service, diagnose problems, and prevent referral abuse.
✦

Photos are optional A photo is not uploaded automatically. You choose a photo, review the face-blur result, and confirm before publishing it.

Face data & face blur

Swathe does not collect biometric identifiers and does not use facial recognition. Face-related information can arise in only the two ways described below. We have no current or planned use of face data beyond these practices.

  • Temporary on-device face location. When you choose to use the face-blur tool, the app detects the approximate location and boundary of a face solely to place a blur over it. This processing happens on your device. The temporary face-location data is held only in memory during that editing session; it is never sent to Krypter or any third party, never stored or linked to your account, and is discarded when the editing session ends.
  • The photo you choose to publish. After you review and adjust the blur, you decide whether to upload the resulting image. That image may still contain visible face pixels if a face is outside the blurred area. Swathe does not extract or store face maps, faceprints, templates, geometry, landmarks, coordinates, embeddings, or other biometric identifiers from an uploaded photo, and does not use it to recognize, identify, verify, or profile anyone.

Use. We use the resulting photo only to create and display the outfit post you requested, operate related style challenges and rankings, perform necessary technical formatting such as resizing or compression, and review reported content for safety. We do not use face data for authentication, advertising, marketing, analytics, data mining, building user profiles, training artificial-intelligence models, or determining identity, emotion, health, age, gender, ethnicity, attractiveness, or other personal traits.

Storage and disclosure. Temporary face-location data stays on your device and is not disclosed. A photo you affirmatively publish is stored in access-controlled cloud object storage operated for us by Supabase and is delivered to other Swathe members as public content. Supabase may process the photo only to host, secure, and deliver the Service. We do not sell face data or share it with advertisers, advertising platforms, analytics providers, data brokers, information resellers, facial-analysis services, or artificial-intelligence providers.

Retention and deletion. Temporary face-location data is discarded as soon as the editing session ends. An uploaded photo is retained while its post remains published. You may delete an individual post or your account in the app at any time. When you do, we begin deletion immediately and remove the photo from active storage no later than 30 days after the request. Encrypted backup copies, if any, are deleted as backups cycle out within 90 days. If a photo is subject to an active safety report or a legal preservation obligation, we may keep an access-restricted copy only for as long as needed to resolve that matter or comply with law, and then delete it.

Your control and consent. Swathe requests camera or photo-library access only after you choose the related feature. Selecting a photo does not publish it: you can review and adjust the blur, cancel without uploading, delete a published post, or delete your account. Please upload a photo containing another person only with that person's permission.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate accounts, run the waitlist and referral program, publish and rank outfits, personalize style results, moderate content, prevent fraud and abuse, provide support, and improve the safety and reliability of Swathe.

We may send verification codes and important service messages. Marketing text messages are off unless you separately opt in, and you may withdraw that consent at any time.

When we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only when needed to operate Swathe, comply with law, or protect people and the Service.

  • Service providers. Vendors that support authentication and data hosting (such as Supabase), SMS delivery (such as Twilio), website hosting, security, and customer support. They may use information only to perform services for us and must provide the same or equivalent privacy protection described in this policy.
  • Legal and safety reasons. When reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms, investigate fraud, or protect the rights and safety of Swathe, our members, or others.
  • Business changes. If Swathe is involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate protections.

Public content

Swathe is a social style game. Outfit photos, usernames, titles, tags, scores, and leaderboard placement you choose to publish may be visible to other members and may be reshared through features you use. Your phone number and private account details are not displayed publicly.

Please share only content you are comfortable making public and have permission to post.

Retention & deletion

We keep account information while your account is active and for as long as reasonably needed to provide the Service, maintain security, resolve disputes, and meet legal or operational obligations.

You can delete an individual post from its menu or permanently delete your account, waitlist data, and uploaded content from the account menu in the app. We begin processing deletion requests immediately. Active copies are removed no later than 30 days after the request, and encrypted backup copies expire within 90 days, except for access-restricted records that must be preserved temporarily for security, an active abuse investigation, dispute resolution, or law.

Your choices

You can update profile information in the app, choose what you post, withdraw optional marketing consent, or delete your account. You may also ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing us. Privacy rights vary by location, and we will honor the rights that apply to you.

Children's privacy

Swathe is for adults age 18 and older. The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and people under 18 may not create an account or use Swathe. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a person under 18 has provided personal information, we will disable the account and delete the information.

Changes & contact

We may update this policy as Swathe evolves. If a change is material, we will provide notice through the Service or another appropriate channel and update the effective date above.
